It didn't reach my cabinets
Hidden areas lead to hidden moisture which leads to bad things. Often we only think of what we can see. What about the water that gets into those areas we can access or see. Is it going to be ok there because we cant see it?
The first picture here is under the cabinet when the toe kick is removed. Notice the water droplets forming on the underside of the cabinet, this is vapor damage. As there is no air circulation under and behind areas like this, the water vapor builds up and accumulates further damaging the materials involved.
Just because the water cant be seen doesn't mean its not a problem. The worst problems of all are the ones we cant see.
