Outside Water

Sometimes when the storms come, water that gets in can come from leaking roofs, gutters, or windows.  Sometimes though the water may get deep enough outside to breach the foundation and enter into your home.  This is called Flood Water, and these situations are completely different than your normal water damage.

Often times, flood water or outside ground water that gets inside your home is NOT COVERED by your insurance policy unless you have flood insurance.  Ground water is treated as contaminated water because it is often unknown where it originated from.  It runs along the ground and combines with oil, chemicals, animals waste, feces, and other potentially harmful substances.  It is considered dangerous to human health, so when you have this type of loss everything that the water touches must be removed so to remove all potential harmful substances from your home.
