Window / Roof Leak
Storms wreak havoc on our homes and test the limits of the home to keep the water out. Sometimes water finds its way in. Even the smallest openings, if given enough time, will be found by the water, and when it does, you can be in a for a costly repair.
Often times the leaks from windows and roofs can be attributed back to clogged Weep Holes (drains of the windows) or a build up of dirt and debris, bird droppings, or fungus in the valleys of the roof. Regular maintenance and checking of these areas can be crucial when the big one hits.
This window leak caused water damage inside the wall cavities. Because the wall is insulated, the wall must be opened to properly dry the structure.
